Valium and Passports!

Irish Passport

Okay life continues to move forward with and without my input. The good news is that I did receive my passport by FED EX yesterday. So thanks to the Irish Consulate for the help and the understanding that I appear to be semi literate when it comes to filling in forms. Now I need to start to confirm my tickets as I have them in paper and know some of the flight times have changed. So life gets better if nothing else

So my wife and I are having our last and final child. I am going for a vasectomy. Having had the first consult and meeting a doctor, I believe I need to be on Valium before I go. He did what felt like a complete examination and for several days after it felt like he had strong hands. Don’t ask but it was painful. So more details than you needed I guess. I know I would like to / need to be completely asleep while this surgery takes place. I have yet to visit a few other specialists before I make a choice.

Life is good otherwise. So I found a friend online of late and think I managed to insult him by spelling his name incorrectly. What is funny is I spelt it correctly to find him and when I emailed him I completely goofed! So with any luck I did not completely ruin the chance to meet up with him when I get home.

So no more news, but my kids were asked while reading the other day why is the dog in the picture wearing glasses. The answers were great!

Twin B: Because he needs them to read. –> A logical answer.

Twin L: Because his insurance would not pay for contacts! –> WOW. Not a conversation we have ever had near the kids as I wear glasses. No interest in contacts. But the answer really shows how what he hears is been logged for future use.

BTW: Open your mind and look up Ron Paul if you follow American Politics! This guy is interesting and though provoking.

Staff Reviews & Head Trauma

You know the two could quite easily go together. A little head trauma and a review. Well last week Wednesday / Thursday we had our reviews at work. These went rather well and we seem to be making some positive progress. Generally you thin to yourself how bad could it be. Then, you find out. I guess the best answer here is like the one you get from the poor man who lives in the middle of tornado alley as he describes what he remembers last before being rescued from a tree. ‘I remember just standing at my sink thinking what a nice day it was, next thing I know I am in a tree hanging from my underwear’.

So the reviews had ended and it seemed so had the batteries on my phone. I managed to get some life into it at around 18:30 to see my wife had called and our eldest had been admitted to hospital. He had been hit in the face with a baseball bat. A metal one.

He has some damaged bones, broken and cracked to compliment a shiner to end all shiners. He is okay and this is not a quality of life issue. Love my kids and so glad they are a okay.
